We are seeking an accomplished Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive hands‑on experience in cloud automation, configuration management, and large‑scale infrastructure engineering. We are looking for a seasoned DevOps professional with 8–15 years of experience who can bring deep expertise in configuration management (Chef, SaltStack), container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, Anthos), CI/CD engineering, and cloud‑native automation using Terraform, Ansible, and modern scripting languages. You will play a key role in designing event‑driven infrastructure, building enterprise automation frameworks, and ensuring high availability, observability, and operational reliability across mission‑critical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Hands-on experience on Devops tools like chef for creating Chef Recipes, Chef Roles, Templates, Attributes, Cookbooks on Workstations/Servers and running recipes on nodes managed by on-premises Chef Server.
- Build Enterprise Infrastructure and applications environment using Salt stack.
- Automate Infrastructure and building a framework for event driven infrastructure Handling configuration management via Salt stack with direct integration with a cloud management platform Scalar along with GitHub integration for pillar and formula versioning.
- Building custom modules for more flexibility for resolving specific business needs with python and Saltstack.
- Developing applications through configuration management tool Saltstack Automating the applications and monitoring the performance of tools within the environment.
- Design and implement Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CICD) projects for a wide range of technologies and programming languages such as: Groovy,Python, Ruby.
- Experience in working on DevOps/Agile Operations process and tools area (Code review, unit Test Automation, Build & Release automation, Environment, Service, Incident and Change Management).
- Extensive Hands on Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python, Yaml scripting on Linux & Windows.
- Design and implementation of Kubernetes infrastructure &; also by Anthos GKE On-prem (Ingress/Anthos Service mesh/Security/Monitoring and logging/Backup/scaling pods) for application deployment.
- Experience working on Docker hub and Docker swarm, Docker compose, creating Docker images and handling multiple images primarily for middleware installations and domain configuration.
- Develop Micro-service Architecture Application and used Kubernetes, Amazon EKS and Docker-swarm for orchestration.
- Experience in Linux,Windows administration. Good knowledge and understanding of database and application servers’ administration in a global production environment.
- Implement Infrastructure automation through Terraform and Ansible for auto provisioning, code deployments, software installation and configuration updates.
- Create Kubernetes cluster with objects like Pods, Deployments, Services, Config Maps using Azure Kubernetes service and deployed a multi-container application to the cluster.
- Develop and setup Disaster recovery model for critical applications with High Availability and Disaster Recovery patterns using VMware SRM.
- Develop custom scripts utilizing Cloud Services such as EC2,S3 and Lambda functions which enabled faster migrations while maintaining security standards set by company policies.
